Literature and My Life

Literature didn't mean anything in my life until I read the book "Pieces of You" written by Tablo. He graduated from Stanford and now writes music in Korea. This book contains a lot of short stories which show his feeling toward the American society. This was inspirational for me because I walked the way with the same shoes as he wore. He felt the separation and lack of understanding from the group he was hanging out with due to different culture and race. Books related to immigrating to the other country and going through hardships always sympathized me when I couldn't stop thinking I was a foreigner. Anyways, through books I don't feel alone because there are also people who feel like how I feel like.

This poem was made for a school assignment
But we hope it will bring you some excitement

This was indeed a difficult chore
And it was a big bore
Still, we pressed on
We were determined to complete the task we were set on

Through the fire and the flames
Past all the shame
We finished our verse
Too bad it could not get any worse

So if we were to drop this
It is not something we would miss
